The Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) has extended its corporate social responsibility (CSR) outreach with the second phase of its “Back to School Storm” initiative, reaching pupils in four public primary schools within the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
The schools visited include Methodist Primary School, Igbogbo; Anglican Primary School, Igbogbo; Etunrenren Primary School; and Muslim Primary School, Ikorodu. During the outreach, pupils received essential school supplies such as exercise books, writing materials, and eco-friendly school bags made from repurposed advertising banners, demonstrating LASAA’s commitment to education and environmental sustainability.
During the outreach, LASAA Managing Director Prince Fatiu Akiolu reiterated the agency’s dedication to improving education while promoting eco-conscious practices. The initiative aligns with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s T.H.E.E.E.E.S Plus agenda, which strongly emphasises education and social development across the state.
Top LASAA officials present at the event included Gbolahan Oloko (Director of Administration and Human Resources), Adegbolahan Dixon (Head of Operations and Innovation), Atinuke da-Silva-Osadjere (Head of Corporate Communications and Strategy), and Titilope Raheem (Head of Legal Department).
The initiative was carried out in collaboration with the Omo Daada Foundation, led by Omoniyi Dada, and supported by Dufil Prima Foods, which provided additional educational materials and nutritious meals for pupils, adding a strong humanitarian angle to the programme.
In a show of legislative support, Honourable Gbolahan Ogunleye, Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ikorodu I and Chairman of the House Committee on Sustainable Development Goals and Overseas Investment, donated table tennis equipment to the schools. He encouraged the promotion of extracurricular activities that support the holistic development of students.
Also present was Honourable Sesan Daini, Chairman of Igbogbo Bayeku LCDA, who expressed appreciation for LASAA’s intervention and called for continued collaboration in supporting education at the grassroots.
Prince Akiolu reaffirmed LASAA’s long-term vision, pledging to extend the “Back to School Storm” to more public schools across Lagos State to foster academic excellence and nurture the next generation of leaders.
