A Nigerian law firm, F.K. Nnadi & Co., has taken steps against the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) over their 2025 Post-UTME results.
In a pre-action notice signed by lawyer Kene Nnadi, the firm accused the two universities of giving some candidates unusually low scores and withholding some results without explanation. According to the firm, such actions could spoil the admission chances of the affected students. Apart from the legal move, the firm has also submitted petitions to the House of Representatives and the National Universities Commission (NUC), requesting that they investigate the matter.
Education technology expert Alex Onyia, CEO of Educare, also lent his voice. He has been vocal about the lack of transparency in the Post-UTME process.
The post-UTME crisis is already a central talking point among students and parents on and offline, as people debate the fairness in university admissions. Many Nigerians are demanding more accountability from institutions in how they handle entrance examinations.
