A body, identified as the 45-year-old Falmata Abubakar, was found near the Federal University, Gashua, Yobe State, on Friday, October 17, 2025.
SP Dungus Abdulkarim, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Yobe State command of the Nigeria Police Force, notified the institution and stated that the command has begun an investigation into her death.
The PPRO mentioned that one Yusuf Baka reported the body, which was later moved to the Specialist Hospital, Gashua, where a medical doctor confirmed her death.
Emmanuel Ado, the Commissioner of Police, through the PPRO, encouraged the public to support the police in their investigation.
