Bode Makanjuola
Newly appointed member of the Lagos State University (LASU) Governing Council, Bode Makanjuola, has pledged to serve the institution with integrity, dedication, and a commitment to academic excellence.
Makanjuola, who also serves as Chief Executive Officer of Caverton Offshore Support Group, was among the 11-member council approved by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, with the appointment effective from October 31, 2025.
The council is chaired by Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Babatunde Ogala, with members including Oluseyi Badmus, Mojisola Taiwo, Shaffudeen Amuwo, and others.
In a statement on Tuesday, Makanjuola described his appointment as “a privilege to serve an institution critical to the future of students and the wider community,” expressing appreciation to the governor for the confidence reposed in him.
He reaffirmed his readiness to support LASU’s mission of academic excellence, innovation, and inclusive growth.
Makanjuola, a Mechanical Engineering graduate of the University of Leicester, also holds a Master’s degree in Shipping Trade and Finance from City University Business School, London.
He thanked his family, mentors, and colleagues for their support, reiterating his belief that education remains central to national development.
