It was smiles, cheers, and bright colours as Medmina College, Ibadan, held its ninth graduation and prize-giving ceremony in honour of the class of 2025, called ‘The Paragons’.
Speaking at the ceremony, the parents-teachers’ association (PTA) chairman, Alhaji Nurain Zakariyah, said, “Indeed, with hardship comes ease.”. This was a quote from the Quran meant to encourage the students. He also reserved some generous praise for the parents and the school for staying strong through challenges. He equally stressed that excellence comes from faith, hard work, and good character.
The founder of the school, Alhaji Mohammed A. AbdulHameed, told the graduates that Medmina’s success stands on teamwork, divine blessings, and quality education rooted in Islamic values.
AbdulHameed thanked the teachers for their dedication and called on the Muslim community to keep supporting the school. One of the most inspiring moments came from the outgoing Head Girl, Ra’idah Kareem. Her speech centred around the need for self-discipline and doing what needs to be done even when it is not convenient. Mixing humour with real-life examples, she urged her classmates to build good habits now if they want a bright future.
