The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has called for investment in vocational and technical education, citing it as a catalyst for reviving the economy.
Dr Mohammed Mohammed, NABTEB Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, appealed while assessing the ongoing NABTEB examinations at the Government Technical College, Agidingbi, Ikeja, and Federal Technical College, Yaba, Lagos. Speaking at the Government Technical College, Mohammed expressed appreciation for the Lagos State Government’s investment in vocational and technical education. He also emphasised that any country neglecting technical and vocational education will suffer for it. The government must revive trade centres, vocational centres, and technical colleges because artisans, craftsmen, and technicians are the proper drivers of any economy.
