The National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) has reiterated its commitment to advancing digital governance in Nigeria.
The agency’s Director-General, Matthew Adepoju, pledged in Abuja after NASRDA received the Best Federal Ministry, Department and Agency Digital Governance Award at the Nigeria GovTech Gala and Awards. Adepoju also received the Distinguished GovTech Trailblazer Award at the event.
He said Nigerians were increasingly appreciating the role of space science and technology in national development and noted that the agency had introduced several initiatives to strengthen the country’s space ecosystem.
Esuabana Nko-Asanye, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, congratulated NASRDA, noting that the ministry remains committed to achieving the Federal Government’s digital transformation agenda.
The awards, organised by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, recognise ministries, departments, agencies, private organisations and individuals demonstrating excellence in digital governance.
