NBA LWDF 2025 Conference Kicks Off in Asaba

The 2025 Annual Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association Lawyers With Disabilities Forum (LWDF) began in Asaba, Delta State, with a vibrant Sip-and-Paint reception, setting an inspiring tone for the event.


The opening attracted top dignitaries, including Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities; Ekemejero Owhovoriole, SAN, Delta State Attorney-General; and Omamuzo Erebe, SAN, Solicitor-General. NBA national officers, branch leaders, and advocates for disability rights, including David Anyaele, Chairman of the Abia State Disability Commission, were also in attendance.


The artistic reception fostered camaraderie and creativity, symbolising the LWDF’s commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and empowerment for lawyers with disabilities.


Organisers said the event reflects the growing momentum to enhance leadership, advocacy, and strategic collaboration within the legal profession for persons with disabilities.


The conference aims to advance dialogue, policy, and actionable outcomes that strengthen participation, representation, and opportunities for lawyers with disabilities across Nigeria.
