A Nigerian engineer, Engr. Dr. Kifilideen Osanyinpeju has introduced a new mathematical method named Kifilideen’s Rule, aimed at solving complex equations that traditional methods struggle with.
This development was announced in April 2025 and documented in a research paper on Afribary.
Kifilideen’s Rule addresses product index nonlinear simultaneous equations, which are equations involving variables raised to powers and multiplied together.
These types of equations are common in various real-world applications but are difficult to solve using existing techniques.
The new method utilises elimination techniques, laws of indices, and matrix theory, including cofactors and determinants, to provide a systematic approach to finding exact solutions.
The method has been tested on equations with two, three, four, and more variables, demonstrating its effectiveness and efficiency compared to traditional methods.
It offers a direct and precise approach, making it valuable for students, researchers, and professionals in fields that require accurate mathematical modelling.
This innovation adds to Dr Osanyinpeju’s contributions to mathematics, including Kifilideen’s Extermination and Determinant of Matrix (KEDM) method for solving linear systems of equations.
