Researchers from the University of Port Harcourt, Bayero University Kano (BUK), and the University of Ibadan (UI) have urged the government to embrace prevention education approaches to combat diseases and pandemics.
The researchers said this while stating their research findings under the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) National Research Project. Prof. Rashid Aderinoye, Principal Investigator of the research, advised the government to use the media to educate the masses on health matters. He added that sensitisation programmes should be organised in schools to increase awareness and promote preventive health practices.
