Mr. Gerald Osugo, Nile University’s CMO with Family & Friends at the ARCON’s Fellowship Induction Ceremony
Mr Gerald Chukwuma Osugo, Chief Marketing Officer of Nile University of Nigeria, has been conferred with the Fellowship of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), earning the title Fellow, Registered Practitioners in Advertising (FRPA).
The honour, the highest professional recognition in Nigeria’s advertising industry, celebrates Osugo’s over a decade of contributions to strategic communication, ethical marketing, and brand leadership. The investiture ceremony took place at the Sheraton Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos, with industry leaders in attendance.
A Mass Communication graduate from the University of Lagos, Mr Osugo enhanced his credentials through executive education at Columbia Business School in New York, focusing on Sales Management, Customer Experience, and Digital Transformation.
He began his career with KPMG before joining Etisalat Nigeria (now 9mobile), where he led high-profile campaigns, including the FC Barcelona thematic initiative, and developed the company’s digital marketing strategy.
Since 2022, Mr Osugo has led Nile University’s marketing, branding and communications efforts, driving student enrolment growth and strengthening the institution’s profile. He also serves on the Board of Nile Consult & Services Ltd and contributes to professional development within Nigeria’s advertising ecosystem through ADVAN and mentorship initiatives.
Commenting on the fellowship, Osugo said: “This recognition validates the values that have guided me: integrity, creativity, collaboration, and service. I remain committed to advancing ethical advertising and nurturing future talent.”
