Och’ Idoma, HRM Agabaidu John Elaigwu Odogbo and the Rector Benue Polytechnic Ugbokolo
The Ochi’Idoma, HRM Agabaidu John Elaigwu Odogbo, has called on the leadership of Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo, to implement sustainable initiatives aimed at restoring the institution’s reputation.
The charge came during a courtesy visit by Rector Arc. Dr Henry Ojobo and his management team visited the Ochi’Idoma’s palace in Otukpo. Describing the Polytechnic as a beacon of learning, the Paramount Ruler emphasised that education leadership is “a sacred duty of service.”
He urged the management to enforce full academic standards, strengthen discipline mechanisms, rebuild secure and clean infrastructure and restore innovation, technical skills, and moral values. He also highlighted security challenges on campus, calling for collaboration with community leaders and youth to mitigate risks.
Congratulating Ojobo on his appointment, the Ochi’Idoma stressed leadership values such as fairness, inclusiveness, transparency and accountability, pledging the traditional institution’s continued support.
Responding, Ojobo thanked the Ochi’Idoma for his blessings and counsel, explaining that the visit aimed to foster collaboration with key stakeholders. He highlighted achievements in his first six months, emphasising teamwork, community engagement, and efforts to enhance academic and infrastructural standards.
