Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State has pledged immediate intervention to tackle water and electricity challenges at the College of Nursing Sciences, Obangede.
During a project inspection visit to the institution on Sunday, May 4, 2025, the governor assured staff and students of his administration’s commitment to completing ongoing infrastructure projects initiated by the previous government.
Addressing concerns raised by the college’s Provost, Mr James Anaza Duro Joseph, Governor Ododo promised the swift provision of a new transformer to resolve power issues. He directed the Ministry of Water Resources and RUWASA to commence a water project on campus.
“Those projects you said were initiated by the last administration are my projects; I was part of the last administration. My goal is to consolidate and continue the projects,” he said.
The governor congratulated Mr. Joseph on his appointment as Provost, urging him to remain dedicated to his role.
