Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has initiated major reforms in Kogi State’s tertiary institutions, ushering in what many describe as a new era for students and host communities.
At Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, and the College of Education, Ankpa, the government has introduced new facilities, including laboratories, solar-powered streetlights, and even revived the long-abandoned MBBS programme.
The transformation was showcased during the Kogi State Media Tour of the Eastern Senatorial District. During the tour, Kogi State Commissioners Kingsley Femi Fanwo (Information) and Mohammed Ahovi Yusuf (Works) took time to inspect the upgraded infrastructure.
Fanwo noted that education is central to Governor Ododo’s agenda, describing the projects as a clear step towards stronger academic standards and better learning environments.
According to the government, the ongoing upgrades will not only provide students with better opportunities but also enhance development in surrounding communities.
