The Oyo State Government has promised strong support for Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa, to help the school achieve smooth accreditation of its courses by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
The assurance was given by the Acting Governor, Barr. Bayo Lawal, during the institution’s recent convocation ceremony. He noted that the government will provide all necessary assistance once the school presents its needs, stressing that accreditation is key to the institution’s growth and credibility.
Lawal also talked about the part-time workers in the polytechnic. He said their request to be made permanent staff has already been taken to the governor, and the matter is now under his review. He expressed confidence that the matter would be resolved soon to give staff better job security.
The government’s pledge has been welcomed as a boost for the school, which continues to play a vital role in training skilled manpower for Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
