Mr Olorunwa Adegun, the Acting Rector of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO), Ondo State, has appreciated Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the Ondo State Governor, for his support and contribution to the institution.
While speaking at the briefing to announce the upcoming 12th-23rd combined convocation, Adegun stated that the institution is working closely with the state government to upgrade the polytechnic to a university. The acting rector stated that the governor released the funds for the combined convocation upon noting the institution’s financial situation. He highlighted that the governor also approved funds for the re-accreditation of 68 academic programmes in the polytechnic.
