Staff and students of the Urban and Regional Planning Department at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, have paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adamu Ahmed. The group was led by Dr Yakubu Bununu, the Head of Department, who stated that the visit was to congratulate the Vice-Chancellor and offer prayers for his success.
Dr Bununu added that many alumni from across the world had also sent congratulatory messages, describing Prof. Ahmed’s appointment as well-deserved due to his hard work and dedication. In his response, Prof. Ahmed thanked the department for their support. He said the department played a significant role in his journey to becoming Vice-Chancellor. He encouraged staff and students to give back to the university and continue supporting their HOD and other unit leaders. The visit took place on Friday, July 18, 2025, at the Vice-Chancellor’s Conference Room.
