The Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Prof. Adamu Ahmed, has advised final-year students to build strong networks among themselves, stating that such relationships can be beneficial in the future.
Prof. Ahmed gave the advice during the university’s first-ever orientation programme for graduating students, organised by the Counselling and Human Development Centre. He was represented by Prof. Sani Abba Aliyu, Director of the Directorate of Advancement and International Education. The Vice-Chancellor congratulated the students for reaching the final stage of their studies and encouraged them always to represent the university well, wherever they go. Speakers at the event shared tips on job searching, writing CVs, NYSC mobilisation, and entrepreneurship. Those who spoke included Prof. Nasiru Abdullahi and Alhaji Lawal Yunus.
The two-day event was designed to prepare students for life after graduation. The university hopes the training will help students succeed in the real world.
