The Registrar of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, Mrs. Folashade Akintola, has advised Registry staff to be more committed and work together as a team. She gave this advice during a meeting with heads of directorates and other Registry members.
Mrs. Akintola stated that regular meetings will now be held to address problems in various units. She also announced that in-house training and lectures for staff will resume soon to help reduce mistakes and improve performance. She encouraged staff to attend conferences not just for certificates but to learn and present papers.
A new Welfare Committee has created a WhatsApp group and introduced monthly contributions to fund events such as end-of-year parties and staff rewards. Also speaking, Mr. Sunday Komolafe, a Deputy Registrar, stated that the Rector is working to help staff obtain more certificates and enhance their ICT skills. He urged everyone to take advantage of the opportunity.
