The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), City of David Parish, Abuja, has awarded scholarships to 20 Nigerian students as part of its ongoing education support programme.
The initiative, which began three years ago, is part of the church’s Christian Social Responsibility (CSR) mandate championed by RCCG’s General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
According to a statement issued on Monday, the parish stated that the scholarship scheme aims to alleviate the financial burden of education while empowering young people to pursue their academic goals.
The church disclosed that nearly 100 students benefited from the programme last year, while the current phase is supporting almost 20 beneficiaries.
The resident pastor of the parish, Agbolade Okenla, stated that the initiative reflects the church’s commitment to investing in young people as a means of contributing to national development.
