Dr Chioma Irene Awuzie, Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Oko, has received the Professional Award of Excellence from the Rotary International Club of Onitsha Metropolis.
The club awarded Awuzie for her contributions to the education sector and exceptional leadership. Rtn. Oby Arinze, the outgoing President of the club, who presented the award to Awuzie, said the award was given as part of the club’s effort to recognise individuals with a significant societal impact. Awuzie, in her acceptance speech, appreciated the club and described their gesture as a motivation to contribute more. She also encouraged women to make an impact wherever they are.
