Redeemer’s University, Osun State, and Thomas Adewumi University (TAU), Kwara State, have entered into a strategic partnership to promote innovation, renewable energy, agriculture, and entrepreneurship in higher education.
The collaboration was sealed during a courtesy visit by Redeemer’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Shadrach Olufemi Akindele, to TAU’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Francisca Oladipo, on September 9. Both institutions will be working together on sustainable growth and resource efficiency. They will also work to strengthen academic excellence.
Prof. Akindele, accompanied by senior officials, including faculty deans and directors, stated that the partnership would enhance research and capacity building. The TAU Vice Chancellor noted that it is important for universities to combine strengths. He added that such important collaborations can help in tackling national challenges and preparing students for future opportunities.
Renewable energy, agriculture, and entrepreneurship development are the key areas in which the institutions plan to partner. Moreover, they are hopeful that these projects will help to position both TAU and Redeemer’s University as leaders in innovation-driven education.
