Redeemer’s University Inducts 74 New Physiotherapists

Redeemer’s University Inducts 74 Graduates Into Physiotherapy Profession

Redeemer’s University, Ede, has inducted 74 students into the physiotherapy profession at its third induction ceremony for the Class of 2025.
Addressing the new professionals, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shadrach Akindele, urged them to take their training “from the classroom to the world”, noting that the country’s healthcare system depends on well-prepared practitioners. “The clinical training and knowledge you have acquired will be translated into saving lives and making an impact in the health sector,” he said.

Akindele encouraged the inductees to uphold the university’s values and serve as ambassadors of integrity and compassion in their work.

The keynote address was delivered by Professor Chris Okafor of the University of Lagos College of Medicine, who offered a historical overview of physiotherapy in Nigeria and highlighted the field’s growing importance in modern healthcare.
