John Olubobokun, the Former director of Valour Academy, has been charged with nine assault counts. After listening to Olubobokun’s testimony, Judge Lisa Watson rejected it, claiming it was not credible, and added that the court proved each assault beyond a reasonable doubt.
According to students, Olubobokun struck them several times with a wooden paddle, despite his claims that disciplinary paddling had stopped, according to a Supreme Court ruling about restricting corporal punishment in schools. The judge revealed that paddling continued under the director’s leadership. He will be sentenced on July 28 and face another trial in September for seven more assault charges.
