Seleem Adegunwa, Managing Director and CEO of Rite Foods Limited, has urged Nigerian students to seize the numerous business opportunities available in Nigeria.
Speaking to students at the Nigerian University of Technology and Management (NUTM) on May 21, 2025, Adegunwa advised them to focus on entrepreneurship that aligns with their passions and personal strengths.
He urged students to gain practical work experience to understand how businesses operate before starting their ventures.
Adegunwa believes Nigerian students have the potential to succeed in any career or business they choose.
However, he said success requires creativity, determination, and consistent effort.
He encouraged young entrepreneurs to be persistent, explaining that many initial attempts may not succeed, but staying focused will eventually lead to positive results.
He advised students to keep refining their business ideas until they find one that is viable and practical.
Adegunwa also stated the importance of academic excellence in any chosen course, as intellectual growth plays a crucial role in shaping outcomes.
He pointed to Rite Foods as an example, explaining how the company entered Nigeria’s competitive food and beverage market by introducing innovative products not common among local brands.
Babs Omotowa, founding President of NUTM, praised Adegunwa’s speech, saying it would inspire discipline among students and support their academic and entrepreneurial goals.
The event took place at NUTM in Ogun State, reflecting growing efforts to prepare Nigerian youth for the country’s expanding business landscape.
