Covenant University’s Class of 2015, known as the Admirable Set, has returned to Ota to revive and expand Admirable Park, a legacy project they first gifted to the institution a decade ago.
At the unveiling, Vice-Chancellor Professor Timothy Anake praised the gesture as a sign of enduring commitment to the university’s ethos of leadership and service. “You have shown that the Covenant culture is alive in you,” he said, noting that the project reflected the vision of Chancellor Dr David Oyedepo. Representing the Chancellor, Pastor Stephen Ogar, National Youth Pastor of the Living Faith Church and himself an alumnus, described the refurbished park as “a legacy” that would continue to speak for the graduating set.
Mr Buchi Okoro, speaking for the group, credited the university’s programmes, such as Entrepreneurial Development Studies and the Total Man Concept, for equipping them to thrive beyond its walls. “We are proud to be products of Covenant University,” he said. The event concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Admirable Set and the university, reaffirming a partnership rooted in shared values and service.
