A delegation from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Board of Trustees, North Central Zone, has visited Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBU), Lapai, to inspect major completed projects, including the new Senate Building and Faculty of Law complex.
Leader of the delegation, Engr. Nuruddeen Adeyemi said the visit was to assess the quality and impact of TETFund interventions while identifying institutional challenges. He commended the university’s accountability and revealed that ₦426 million had been proposed to complete the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Adeyemi also disclosed that IBBU benefited from a ₦750 million hostel intervention despite not being a 2025 beneficiary institution, describing it as a reflection of the university’s prudent fund management.Vice-Chancellor Prof Mohammed Hadi Sulaiman expressed appreciation for TETFund’s continued support, describing it as “a lifeline for Nigerian universities.” He highlighted that the hostel intervention was timely, given the institution’s accommodation deficit.
He also announced that the Council of Legal Education had approved IBBU’s Law programme following a facility inspection.
