The 36th convocation ceremony of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA)
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on decision-makers in tertiary institutions to reform the curriculum.
He made the call while speaking at the 38th convocation ceremony of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) on Saturday, October 15, 2025.
Represented by Prof. Abdullahi Yusuf Ribadu, the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Tinubu stated that the process will help the country produce graduates with employable skills and contribute to national development.
He reiterated his government’s commitment to improving Nigeria’s higher education system through research funding, technology investment, and enhancing university-industry collaborations.
In addition, the President called for more sustainable means of generating funds for universities.
