Prof. Mojeed Kolawole Akinsola, the first professor of mathematics Education at the University of Ibadan (UI), has retired from service.
Realising this, the Ibadan Mega Voice (IMV) felicitated with him on his 70th birthday and retirement ceremony. In a congratulatory message, Aare Kola Olomide, IMV’s President, described the professor as “a shining light in education and an inspiring mentor to generations of teachers and scholars.”
To celebrate his achievements, Prof. Abayomi A. Arigbabu, Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, delivered a public lecture titled “Developing Contextualised STEM Curricula for Nigeria” on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
