University of Ibadan Students’ Union Students’ Representative Council (UISU SRC)
The University of Ibadan Students’ Union Students’ Representative Council (UISU SRC) has penalised two honourable members and a student on November 8, 2025, at its eighth plenary sitting.
In a report, the disciplinary committee of the council revealed that Hon. Segun is guilty of implementing the SRC’s decisions through coercion. At the same time, Hon. Shalom is culpable for ignoring all communications and refusing to appear before the committee.
According to the committee, Linus also failed to appear before the committee and continued to challenge the committee’s jurisdiction.
Following these, the committee has ordered Segun to submit a written apology to the speaker’s office, while it suspended Shalom until she appears before the committee or communicates.
According to the provisions of the UI Students’ Union’s constitution, Linus will be directed to the institution’s authorities through the dean of students.
