The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has set October 31 as the deadline for candidates offered provisional admission to accept their offers for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The announcement was made in a statement by the university’s management and released by its public relations officer, Benedicta Ehanire. The decision, the statement said, followed the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) policy meeting with vice-chancellors and other stakeholders on the national admissions calendar.
It warned that candidates who fail to accept their admission on the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) before the deadline risk losing the offer.
Vice Chancellor, Professor Edoba Omoregie (SAN), congratulated all newly admitted students and expressed the institution’s readiness to receive them when academic activities begin on November 10, 2025.
UNIBEN advised all admitted candidates to complete their acceptance and registration processes promptly ahead of the new academic session.
