The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has officially admitted 450 fresh students into its 2024/2025 Sandwich Programme.
The matriculation ceremony took place on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Faculty of Education Auditorium. It was led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics and Research), Prof. Bola Oboh, who represented the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola.
Prof. Oboh urged the new students to see their admission as a call to responsibility. She noted that UNILAG not only provide knowledge but also helps students build character and practical skills that will prepare them for the future.
She encouraged the matriculants to make good use of the university’s modern learning environment, digital tools, and innovation resources to stay relevant in today’s competitive world.
Prof. Oboh also assured the students of maximum support from the faculty throughout their studies, while charging them to make meaningful contributions even before graduating.
The Sandwich Programme is specifically designed to provide working professionals and other learners with flexible opportunities to further their education without disrupting their daily schedules.
