The Faculty of Law, University of Lagos (UNILAG) has hosted the pre-launch roundtable of the Female Academic Network (FAN) on Monday, August 4, 2025. The event, themed “Building a Functional Network for Females in Academia: Prospects, Challenges and Strategies,” was organised to reshape the environment for women in academia.
Organised by Adejoke Oyewunmi, Professor of Intellectual Property, Commercial and Industrial Law, the roundtable shed light on measures to provide a support system for female academics in Nigeria and other countries. Speaking at the event, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, encouraged participants to embrace excellence and build resilience.
