The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced that an election will be held to fill the institution’s vacant seat on the Council’s Budget Monitoring Committee.
The exercise, approved by the Vice-Chancellor and the Chairman of Congregation, will be conducted virtually via e-voting on Tuesday, October 14 2025, commencing at 10:00 a.m.
According to the university, the election is intended to fill the vacancy of a representative whose term has expired.
Members of the Congregation are advised to confirm their eligibility on the register provided by the Human Resource Management Directorate (HRMD) on the institution’s website between October 6 and 8, 2025. Complaints on eligibility will be addressed between October 7 and 9, with updates completed by October 10.
Interested candidates are required to obtain nomination forms from their faculties, departments, or units, and submit completed copies to the Senate and Ceremonies Unit by 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 13. The list of nominated candidates will be published on the university website by 7:00 p.m. that same day.
E-voting will run from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon on October 14, with results displayed on the university’s website immediately after the process concludes.
