The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced a two-day training for its library staff, scheduled for Tuesday, September 23, and Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the Faculty of Science Boardroom, Akoka.
Organised by the Staff Training and Development Unit (STDU), the programme is themed “Fostering a Future-Ready University Library: Embracing Innovation and Change.” It aims to equip library staff with modern skills to support research excellence, lifelong learning, and improved service delivery.
According to the organisers, the training is part of UNILAG’s initiative to develop a library system that can adapt to technological changes and meet the evolving needs of students and researchers in a rapidly changing academic environment.
Staff members have been urged to check their emails for invitations and register to confirm attendance. The training reflects a commitment to strengthening knowledge management and keeping the school’s workforce ready for the future.
