Prof. Moji Taibat Bakare-Odunola, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) of the University of Ilorin, has encouraged parents and guardians to prioritise education.
Highlighting the value of education at the University School’s end-of-session ceremony on Thursday, July 24, 2025, she said, “Education is life. Nothing can be achieved without it. It pays more to save for your child’s education than to build mansions. Any money spent on education is never wasted.” Speaking at the event, Mr. Mas’ud Ibrahim Salihu, the Head Teacher of the University School, commended students’ academic and extra-curricular performances. He also urged parents to pay their children’s fees on time.
