Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, under the leadership of the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof Carol Chinyelugo Arinze-Umobi, has achieved another historic milestone with the appointment of one of its esteemed staff members, Prof Ngozi Eunice Egbuna, as Nigeria’s first-ever World Trade Organisation (WTO) Chair.
Prof Egbuna, appointed to this prestigious position, is for a four-year term, effective 2025. This appointment is a significant recognition of Prof. Egbuna’s expertise as Director of the International Centre for Regional Integration and Trade Research (ICRITR), UNIZIK and will enhance Nigeria’s and Africa’s academic influence in global trade policy.
