The Africa Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Power and Energy Development (ACE-SPED) at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), has launched a series of short-term professional courses, including a certificate programme in digital content creation and editing.

According to ACE-SPED Director, Prof Emenike Ejiogu, the hybrid course equips participants with practical skills in planning, producing, editing and publishing digital content across multiple platforms.

Modules cover content strategy, audience analysis, copywriting, multimedia production, visual design, and performance analytics. Training takes place at the Centre of Competence in Digital Education and Content Creation (C-CoDE-CC), featuring state-of-the-art studio facilities.

The digital content course is one of ten new short programmes designed for intensive, hands-on learning over 40 hours, spread over three months.

Other courses include Management of Technology and Innovation, Industrial Automation, Energy Management, Bio-energy Technologies, 3D Printing, and Solar PV Mini-grid Design.

Ejiogu noted that the initiative aims to equip Nigerian youths with practical skills for the digital creative industry and other technical fields, and to provide certifications upon completion.
