A 15-year-old student, Agbo Adoga, from Graceland International College in Port Harcourt, has made history as the first Nigerian to achieve a perfect score of 1600 on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
The SAT, administered by the US-based College Board, is a globally recognised university admission test used by leading universities in the United States and other countries.
Adoga’s score places him among a small fraction of students worldwide who attain the highest possible mark.
Education experts have described his performance as a remarkable milestone for Nigeria’s education sector, calling it proof of the potential of young Nigerians when provided with quality learning opportunities.
Adoga’s school said the achievement reflects his dedication and the institution’s commitment to nurturing academic excellence.
The National Orientation Agency has also named Adoga the Nigerian of the Week following the feat.
