The Ambrose Alli University Medical Students Association (AAUMSA) has given a special award to their Staff Adviser, Dr. Andrew Eigbedion, to thank him for his hard work and support. The award was presented during the group’s 2024/2025 Annual General Meeting and Dinner Night, an event many medical students eagerly anticipate.
The celebration took place on August 9, 2025, at the MDCAN Irrua Chapter Conference Hall. It was a moment to honour Dr. Eigbedion for his mentorship, guidance, and the many ways he has helped the association grow stronger. The outgoing AAUMSA President, Hon. Harrison Ibadin, and the outgoing Vice President, Comrade Sey Stephanie, both praised him for his dedication and leadership. Stephanie even called him a “global brand” because of his recent TikTok debut, which went viral with over two million views in less than three weeks.
Dr. Eigbedion, who also served as chairman of the dinner event, thanked the students for the honour and promised to keep supporting them. The 2025 AAUMSA Week was a colourful celebration, and the hall was packed as over 700 people attended. The hall was beautifully decorated, the mood was lively, and everyone enjoyed a delicious three-course meal that ended the night in style.
