A 51-year-old teacher, Mrs. Emmanuel Love Onuora, has died unexpectedly while riding in a commercial tricycle in Aba, Abia State. The incident happened on Tuesday, but was confirmed on Thursday by the Abia State Police.
Police spokesperson ASP Maureen Chinaka said the late Mrs. Onuora boarded the tricycle, driven by Mr. Okechukwu Sunday, for a routine trip along Aba Road. During the ride, another passenger joined, but soon after, both the driver and the passenger noticed she had become unresponsive. The rider quickly reported the case to the Area Commander. Police officers arrived and rushed the woman to St. Francis Hospital, where she was confirmed dead. Her body has been deposited in a mortuary as investigations continue. Photos of the deceased circulated online, with some identifying her as “Aunty Love,” a teacher at a well-known school in Aba. The police have visited the scene and assured that further updates will follow.
