Gbadega Adedapo, CEO, Accessible Publishers Ltd, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Oyo State, and Regional Director; Africa, Room to Read.

As part of efforts to boost reading in Nigerian languages, Accessible Publishers Ltd has partnered with the global NGO Room to Read to launch the Nigeria Literacy Book Adaptation Project.

The project will see books translated into Igbo, Hausa, and Yoruba, enabling students and teachers to learn and teach more effectively using their local languages and cultures. The launch event, held in Ibadan, brought together top Nigerian language scholars, education officials, and a delegation from Room to Read. The goal is to promote mother tongue reading and preserve Nigeria’s linguistic heritage.

The Managing Director of Accessible Publishers, Mr. Gbadega Adedapo, described the project as a movement to revive reading culture among children and reshape Nigeria’s education system. He praised Room to Read for selecting them as a trusted partner after a strict evaluation process. Accessible Publishers, known for its Accessible Studybase e-learning platform, has been supporting quality and affordable education for over 20 years. The project is expected to make a lasting impact nationwide.
