A former governorship aspirant in Kwara State, Engr. Pastor Sunday Adebayo Babalola has called on Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to focus more on education, agriculture, and industrial development in the remaining two years of his administration.
Speaking in a recent interview, Babalola advised the governor to steer clear of flashy projects that do not benefit the common man. Instead, he urged him to invest in meaningful programmes that will touch lives in all three senatorial zones of the state. He pointed out that while there are visible projects like roads and bridges in Ilorin, many people across the state are still battling with poverty and hunger. According to him, actual development should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their tribe or location.
Babalola also stated that the additional funds generated from the fuel subsidy removal should be utilised wisely for projects that genuinely benefit the people, rather than just for show. He added that the governor still has time to make a real and lasting difference.
