Mr Sulaiman Adebayo Olagunju, appointed as Achievers University fourth Registrar
Achievers University has appointed Mr Sulaiman Adebayo Olagunju as its fourth Registrar, in a move seen as pivotal to its ongoing institutional expansion. The decision was ratified at the university’s 40th Governing Council meeting, held on November 6.
Mr Olagunju, a seasoned administrator and public relations expert, has been part of Achievers University’s journey since 2008, joining as Senior Assistant Registrar shortly after the institution opened its doors to students. Since then, he has risen steadily through the ranks, holding strategic positions including College Secretary, Secretary of the School of Postgraduate Studies, and most recently, Deputy Registrar.
With experience spanning the Federal Civil Service, journalism, and university administration, Olagunju brings a multifaceted background to the role. He previously served with Tell Communications Ltd, where he worked as Head of Copy Desk, and taught at the Nigerian Air Force Secondary School in Ikeja.
A graduate of the University of Ilorin, with further qualifications from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism and Babcock University, he is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
The university community has welcomed his appointment, expressing confidence in his ability to lead the Registry through its next phase of development, marked by expanding enrolment and administrative reform.
