Mr. Adeyemi Adebayo, Agriculture Enthusiast, a panelist at Agroween ’25 Food, Agriculture and Innovation Festival
Mr Adeyemi Adebayo, an agriculture enthusiast, has said that first-class graduates should plant a tree each in their universities.
Adebayo said this as a panellist at the Agroween ’25 Food, Agriculture and Innovation Festival, themed ‘Sowing Seeds of Innovation,’ organised by the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and the Intergenerational Rescue Foundation (IRF) Inc., on Friday, November 28, 2025.
He noted that tree-planting culture will become a powerful movement against food insecurity and promote agriculture on campuses.
Addressing participants, Prof. Samuel Adejoh stated that the festival was organised to reshape the narrative that food security was the sole responsibility of the faculty of agriculture.
He added, “We need Innovation. We need systems that do not just feed people for a day but empower them for a lifetime. This event is designed to sensitise and equip our students and staff with the practical tools to build those systems.”
