UNESCO Laureate Professor Sir Bashiru Aremu has encouraged students in Nigeria and abroad to take advantage of Minaret University’s newly opened admissions for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Aremu, who is the Pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Science and Computing, said the institution has built a reputation for academic rigour and a supportive learning environment.
He noted that the university, located in Ikirun, Osun State, is inviting applications into a range of undergraduate programmes across its Faculties of Science and Computing, and Management and Social Sciences. Courses on offer include Data Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Accounting, Economics and Business Administration.
According to Aremu, the programmes have been designed to reflect the needs of a modern workforce and to equip graduates with the skills required to thrive in competitive fields. He added that the university places strong emphasis on personal development alongside academic excellence.
Applicants are required to have a minimum UTME score of 150, five O’Level credits and the appropriate subject combination. The admissions portal is now open, and prospective students have been advised to visit the university’s website for complete details.
Minaret University said it looks forward to welcoming a new cohort into its “vibrant and diverse community.”
