The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has honoured graduating cadets of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) at a regimental dinner held in Kaduna on Friday, September 19, 2025. The event marked the passing out of cadets from the 72 Regular Combatant Course, Short Service Course 48 (Army), Direct Short Service Course 33, and Branch Commission 2 (Air Force).
In his address, General Oluyede took time to commend the cadets for their resilience and commitment. He urged them to put Nigeria first, remain loyal and professional, and embrace technology in tackling today’s security challenges.
The dinner, attended by top military officers including NDA Commandant Major General A.K. Ibrahim, also highlighted the importance of courage, discipline, and patriotism as the cadets prepare to join the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
Over the years, the NDA regimental dinner has remained a strong tradition, serving as a symbolic farewell as cadets move from academy life into active service.
