The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 1 Division Nigerian Army, Maj.-Gen. Abubakar Wase has urged graduating cadets of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) to uphold the constitution and maintain high standards in military service.
Speaking at a Commandant’s Luncheon in Kaduna on Saturday, the GOC addressed cadets from the 72 Regular Course, Short Service Course 48 (Army), Direct Short Service Course 33 (Air Force), and Branch Commission 2 (Air Force). He stressed that their actions must align with the law and avoid conduct that could tarnish the integrity and honour of the Armed Forces.
Maj.-Gen. Wase encouraged the cadets and asked them to perform their duties selflessly, respect superiors, and inspire subordinates. He reserved some kind words for the NDA Commandant, Maj.-Gen. Abdul Ibrahim highlighted the value of interacting with eminent personalities present, noting that it offered cadets an opportunity to learn from their experience.
