The Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative (ASR Africa) has inaugurated a ₦350 million, 500-seat lecture theatre at Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi, under its Tertiary Education Grant Scheme.
The facility, equipped with modern teaching amenities, is designed to enhance the university’s learning environment and academic standards.
At the commissioning ceremony, Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, commended Abdul Samad Rabiu for his commitment to education, describing the donation as “commendable and worthy of emulation.”
ASR Africa Managing Director, Dr Ubon Udoh, said the project reflects the initiative’s dedication to delivering sustainable educational infrastructure across Africa, with over 30 universities benefiting from its grants.
The Vice-Chancellor of ADSU, Prof Augustine Clement, expressed appreciation to ASR Africa, noting that the facility will be put to immediate use.
During the event, Abdul Samad Rabiu, founder of ASR Africa, was conferred an honorary doctorate in recognition of his contributions to education and philanthropy.
