Over 100 pupils and students have received full academic scholarships from the Aweleka Social Club of Nigeria in partnership with Harvest Haven Farms Nigeria Limited for the 2024/2025 school year.
The beneficiaries were selected from 17 schools in Ogwashi-Uku, Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, as well as Oore Ofe Primary School in Agege, Lagos. The programme focuses on children from low-income families, ensuring both primary and secondary school students continue their education without interruption. Among the benefiting schools are Ngwu Mixed Secondary School, Comprehensive Secondary School, Abuanor Primary School, Onihe Primary School, and Nwaeze Primary School.
At the award ceremony, Aweleka Social Club stated that the initiative reflects its commitment to alleviating financial stress for struggling households and promoting education. The club also noted that its partnership with private organisations is aimed at creating more opportunities for young learners and boosting human capital development in local communities.
